Patrick is the Managing Director of AFSI and has training expertise in Personnel Security, Intelligence, Physical Security and Operational Safety.  Pat has a background in the ADF.

KIM WINKS

BUSINESS & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Kim is responsible for overseeing, supporting & mentoring the AFSI managers and director, trainers and our support team.

Kim has over 25 years’ experience in Office Management and is a Qualified Bookkeeper. She has a strong skill set in office management, staff training, course creation and business development.

Kim is passionate about the future growth of AFSI and building strong & lasting connections with our stakeholders.

KATE BALLARD

OFFICE & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

With over 25 years of experience, Kate leads the AFSI administration team and works closely with Kim to keep business operations running seamlessly.

As our Government and Security Course Specialist, she brings exceptional organisation and proactive problem-solving to every project—expertly liaising with our clients to deliver group training sessions & tailored solutions.

Kate is passionate about attention to detail and ensuring a professional, welcoming & supportive experience for all our stakeholders and visitors.

JACKI MACCULLAGH

IT & LEARNER PORTAL SUPPORT, COURSE DEVELOPMENT

Jacki ensures all courses are up and running smoothly, expertly managing logistics, resources, and systems to enable us to deliver the best for our clients.  She is the friendly & professional support for our training team and course participants alike.

Sarah is AFSI’s welcoming first point of contact, dedicated to exceptional service. Sarah draws on her extensive experience to swiftly and accurately direct your inquiry to the right specialist for a smooth start.

Sarah is the face of our student support services and ensures seamless support, diligent progress monitoring, and compliant certification. 

JOHN GIRI

SENIOR ASSESSOR, PERSONNEL VETTING

John has extensive experience in Personnel Vetting and Investigations. Through his work as a qualified private investigator.
John is committed to supporting our fellow trainers and students. He brings real-world insights, constructive feedback, and dedicated mentorship to ensure every participant achieves best-practice standards.

BERNIE MORRISON

SENIOR TRAINER & ASSESSOR

Another specialist trainer and assessor at AFSI, Bernie heads up our Fraud Control specialisation.

Bernie has a background in police, public and private investigations. Bernie is also passionate about sustainability.

SARAH EVANS

Sarah is AFSI’s Senior Trainer and Assessor for Training and Assessment, and an experienced instructional designer.
Drawing on a long career across the education sector, Sarah turns complex competency standards into training that’s rigorous, current and genuinely engaging — and leads the assessment quality that sits behind every AFSI qualification.

David has many years of experience in vocational education, training, and assessment, most notably in training rehabilitation and corrective services personnel and teachers from the public and private sectors.
